Two Lexington Artists in Cambridge Art Association’s 2014 Artists of the Year Exhibition

Public Reception October 8, 6-8

Jeanine Sobell-Pastore & Zoe Perry-Wood

Two Lexington artists exhibiting at Cambridge Art Association’s 2014 Artists of the Year small group show.

This exhibition is a testament to the energy and diversity, which I sought to reflect when awarding prizes. Abstraction, representation, beauty, humor, printmaking, painting, and photography can all be seen among them. ”  Juror Al Miner,  Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

In the Fall of 2014, Al Miner chose 5 pieces of art from hundreds of submissions for the Cambridge Art Association’s 2014 Members Prize Show.  The five artists chosen by Miner were given awards and the promise of a small group show in 2015.  This exhibition is the culmination of Al Miner’s curation coming together one year later.

Lexington artists, Jeanine Sobell-Pastore and Zoe Perry-Wood are among the five artists. Lexington residents may also take interest that Perry-Wood’s work is represented by eight images from her portrait series of the Lexington resident and art patron, the late Elsa O. Sullivan.

Join the artists October 8 from 6-8 for a reception at 25 Lowell St. Cambridge.
