Installation of Go Out Doors – Lexington
The public art exhibit is scheduled for installation on Thursday, October 22 and will run for approximately 6 weeks. Enjoy these phenomenal works of art along the Minuteman Bikeway between the Visitors Center and Hancock Street.
Go Out Doors!
“Go Out Doors” is a public art project whereby local artists are being commissioned to paint old doors with artistic designs, which will then be installed in a public location that will allow for socially-distanced viewing. The proposed installation site is near the Minuteman Bikeway between the Visitor’s Center and Hancock Street. It is envisioned that there will be four doors, spaced along the Bikeway approximately 15 to 25 yards apart.
This exciting project is brought to the community by the Lexington Council for the Arts, in partnership with the Town of Lexington and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
